With 2018 the biggest #HFXBurgerWeek ever, the chefs and kitchen teams at our 125 official locations have outdone themselves, conjuring an unprecedented lineup of burgers.
For the real foodies out there, The Press Gang has resurrected its Roo Burger, featuring kangaroo with chimichurri and foie gras butter, while Unchained Kitchen’s Smoky Gator Hawg offers a burger with both Bayou alligator and Acadian pork belly.
Looking for ingredients from closer to home? Select Nova Scotia is on board as a community partner this year and accordingly we’ve broken this year’s menu down on burgerweek.co into a Nova Scotia ingredients category.
Le Bistro By Liz offers up fresh Nova Scotia haddock and house-made tartar sauce on its Crispy Haddock Burger; Elle’s Bistro uses both Schoolhouse Brewing Stout and Nine Locks IPA to create its Jalapeño Beer Cheeseburger; while Lion & Bright will feature the all Nova Scotian Summer Spiced Local Source Burger with free-range Oulton’s beef, Hutten Summer Peach chutney, TrueLeaf arugula, and turmeric FoxHill yogurt.
Vegans and vegetarians, we’ve got you covered with at least a dozen locations offering meatless options this year.
A record 78 locations will be donating between $1 and $5 per burger to Feed Nova Scotia. Every $2 raised during Burger Week buys three meals for a Nova Scotian in need.
